The residue is purified by ISCO flash chromatography (20%-50% EtOAc gradient) furnish the title compound (0.018 g, 0.043 mmol, 9%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) delta 0.87 (t, J = 7.5 Hz, 6H), 1.74-1.92 (m, 4H), 2.51 (s, 3H), 2.52 (s, 3H), 3.26-3.37 (m, 1H), 3.95 (s, 3H), 6.72 (s, 1H), 7.82 (s, 1H), 8.01 (s, 1H). LC/MS (m/z): calcd. for C20H23ClN6S (M+H)+: 415.2; found: 415.3.

This was then combined with the dried solids, predissolved in DMF (0.2 mL) and DIPEA (0.5 eq.). The resulting mixture was stirred for 15 minutes and the reaction was quenched with AcOH. The product was purified by preparative HPLC and lyophilized to yield the title compound (38 mg; purity 95%). MS m/z [M+H]+ calc’d for C25H30N4O4, 451.23. found 451.4.

The combined organics were concentrated in vacuo.Purification via flash chromatography (silica/EtO Ac/Hex) yielded 3-bromo-l-(4- (trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)-lH-l,2,4-triazole as an off white solid (3.78 g, 12.27 mmol,72.6percent): mp 69-70 °C; ]H NMR (400 MHz, CDC13) delta 8.44 (s, 1H), 7.70 (d, / = 8.9 Hz, 2H), 7.38 (d, J = 8.5 Hz, 2H); 19F NMR (376 MHz, CDC13) delta -58.04; EIMS m/z 307.
