The organic solution was concentrated onto Celite? and purified by silica gel chromatography using 0-100percent ethyl acetate/hexanes as eluent. The relevant fractions were concentrated to obtain the title compound as a yellow oil (0.540 g, 23percent): 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta 8.31 (s, 1H), 7.51 (d, J=9.1 Hz, 2H), 6.98 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 2H), 4.59 (p, J=6.1 Hz, 1H), 1.36 (d, J=6.1 Hz, 6H); ESIMS m/z 283 ([M+H]+).

The solid was recrystallized from ethyl acetate, and collected by filtration to afford the title pyridazine (81 mg, 36%). 1H NMR (500 MHz, DMSO-d6) delta1.08 (6 H, t, J=8.5 Hz), 3.31 (4 H, q, J=8.5 Hz), 3.87 (3 H, s), 5.50 (2 H, s), 7.22 (1 H, s), 7.47-7.59 (3 H, m), 8.37 (2 H, d, J=8.5 Hz), 8.51 (1 H, s).
