N-doped carbon nanopipe-arrayed mesoporous carbon (N-CMK-5) with double-pore system, large surface area (992 m(2)/g), and high nitrogen amount (5.2 at.%) was synthesized by a simplified template route. In this route, mesoporous silica was directly used instead of using time-consuming aluminosilicate as a template and the carbonization process occurred in a nitrogen atmosphere instead of a vacuum. Furthermore, CMK-3, N-doped CMK-3, and CMK-5 ordered mesopomus carbons (OMCs) were compared with the as-prepared N-doped CMK-5 (N-CMK-5) to investigate the effect of microstructure on the electrochemical activity of OMCs. N-CMK-5 exhibited higher electrochemical activity than the other OMCs because it has more exposed defective sites and nitrogen active species. The developed N-CMK-5-based electrochemical sensor showed good practical application for the electrochemical detection of pesticide amitrole in real water sample. This work contributes a simplified route to synthesize tubular N-CMK-5 carbon and provides valuable information on the design of high-performance carbon electrode materials.

The layer-by-layer assembly of molecules is ubiquitous in nature. Highly ordered structures formed in this manner often exhibit fascinating material properties. A layer hydrogen bonding pairing approach allows the development of tunable energetic materials with targeted properties. A series of unusual energetic compounds based on 1H,1 ‘ H-5,5 ‘-bistetrazole-1,1 ‘-diolate (1), such as the salts of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazolium (2), aminoguanidinium (3), and hydrazinium (4), and the cocrystals of 4-amino-1H-pyrazole (5), 2-methylimidazole (6), and imidazole (7), were synthesized using this strategy. The structures of the obtained products 2-7 were fully characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Their thermal decomposition behavior was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry. Their mechanical sensitivities and detonation performances were also analyzed in detail. Results show that products 2-7 exhibit higher density, better detonation performances, and more excellent sensitivities than those of the same species of cation salts previously reported.

A totally new theory of two-step stabilization mechanism for triazole-based zinc-containing complex (abbreviated as (Zn(ttr)(OAc)]) was proposed through several designed experiments. [Zn(ttr)(OAc)] strongly absorbed HCl at the beginning, and then broke down into 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole which could further stabilized PVC. The structure of [Zn(ttr)(OAc)] was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and SEM. Then, Congo red tests and discoloration tests verified [Zn(ttr)(OAc)] could absorb HCl effectively, but PVC showed poor initial whiteness, which further proved above -mentioned stabilization mechanism. Moreover, [Zn(ttr)(OAc)] combined with ZnSt(2) and dibenzoyl methane (DBM) effectively improved the initial color of PVC samples and provided PVC with shorter plasticizing time and longer dynamic thermal stability time than commercial stabilizer 1086F, confirmed by discoloration tests and dynamic thermal stability analysis. We believe [Zn(ttr)(OAc)]/ZnSt(2)/DBM stabilizer system can be used as a commercial stabilizer and the stabilization mechanism of [Zn(ttr)(OAc)] may provide a new way to stabilize PVC. In the present paper, twelve Schiff bases derived from 3-amino-1H-1,2,4-triazole (ATz) and various benzaldehydes, and salicylaldehydes were synthesized. The H-1, C-13, and N-15 NMR data are discussed in relation to the structure of ATz and its imine products. In addition, X-ray, ATR-FTIR, and UV-Vis analytical techniques are used for structure elucidation of ATz-based Schiff bases. It was found that the starting material, 3-amino-1H-1,2,4-triazole, exists as tautomeric mixture of three forms (Graphical Abstract) in solution, whereas in the solid state (C-13 and N-15 CPMAS data) potentially tautomeric proton is located on nitrogen atom traditionally marked as N-2 (Graphical Abstract, 2N-H structure). All investigated Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehydes exist in both phases as tautomeric equilibrium mixtures, where enol-imine forms are dominated structures. The positions of those equilibria only very slightly depend on substituents in phenol ring. Generally, the contributions of keto-amine forms in the solid state are higher comparing with DMSO solutions. (C) 2019 Published by Elsevier B.V.

The three-dimensional character of carbon nitride can endow it with a larger specific surface area and more catalytic active sites, which are beneficial for charge and mass transfer to enhance photocatalytic hydrogen production reactions. Herein, we reported the direct assembly of three-dimensional structured carbon nitride from the thermal polymerization of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (AT) and melamine molecules. The 3D C3N4 consisted of one-dimensional thick tubes with numbers of thin tubes grown uniformly on their surfaces. It was noted that the assembly was decorated with triazole ring groups that generated a special nitrogen-rich structure, further broadening the visible-light response range. Furthermore, the nitrogen-rich carbon nitride had a large surface area of 71 m(2) g(-1), leading to a significant increase in the number of catalytic active sites. Thus, the photocatalytic hydrogen production rate reached 7.1 mmol g(-1) h(-1), 11.2 times higher than that of bulk C3N4. This work may provide a new strategy to controllably synthesize three-dimensional carbon nitride assemblies for photocatalytic applications.

To a solution of 2-iodobenzoic acid (3.0 g, 12.1 mmol) in DMF was added 1,2,3- triazole (1.5 g, 21.7 mmol), Cs2CO3 (7.1 g, 21.7 mmol), Cul (114 mg, 0.6 mmol), and trans-N,N?dimethylcyclohexane- 1 ,2-diamine (310 mg, 2.2 mmol). After heating at 120 C for 10 mm in amicrowave reactor, the mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with EtOAc, and filtered through Celite. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo and the crude residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (MeOH in DCM with 0.1% AcOH) to give Intermediate N as the faster eluting isomer. ?H NMR (DMSO-d6, 500MHz) oe 13.05 (brs, 1 H), 8.12 (s, 2H), 7.8 1-7.52 (m, 4H).

A solution of 1-methyl-1H-1, 2, 3-triazole (3.0 g, 36.1 mmol) in anhydrous THF (100 mL) was cooled to -78 , followed by the addition of butyllithium (15.89 mL, 39.7 mmol) dropwise to give a yellow suspension. The reaction mixture was stirred at -78 for 1 h before N-methoxy-N-methylacetamide (6.52 g, 63.2 mmol) was added. The white suspension was then allowed to warm to 10 and stirred for 16 h. The reaction was quenched with MeOH. This solution was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (petroleum ether /EtOAc 3: 1to 1: 1) to give the product as a solid.1H-NMR: (Chloroform-d400MHz) delta 8.16 (s, 1H) , 4.31 (s, 3H) , 2.58 (s, 3H)

Example A32 a) Preparation of intermediate 84 CuI (1.71 g, 8.9 mmol) and N,7V-dimethylethylenediamine (1.91 ml, 17.92 mmol) were added to a mixture of 2-amino-5-iodopyridine (5.03 g, 22.4 mmol), 3-methyl- IH- 1,2,4- triazole (2.42 g, 29.1 mmol), and Cs2CO3 (14.60 g, 44.81 mmol) in DMF (40 ml). The r.m. was heated at 110 0C for 7 h., the r.m. was cooled, EtOAc was added and the mixure was washed with water. The water layer was extracted 5 times with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried (MgSO4), filtered and the solvent was evaporated in vacuo. The residue was purified by RP preparative EtaPLC [RP Shandon Etayperprep Cl 8 BDS (8 mum, 250 g, LD. 5 cm); mobile phase: a gradient of (0.25 % NH4HCO3 solution in water)/MeOH/CH3CN]. The product fractions were collected and the solvent was evaporated. Yield: 1.5 g of intermediate 84 (38 %).

Example 133.; Preparation of 8-(1-ethyl-propyl)-3-[3-methoxy-5-(2-methyl-2H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)- thiophen-2-yl]-2,6-dimethyl-imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine.; A. 5-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-[1,2,4]triazole.; EPO To a -78 °C solution of l-methyl-1H-[1,2,4]triazole (1.0 mL, 13.20 mmol) and TEtaF (100 mL) is added 1.6 M n-BuLi (8.70 mL, 13.86 mmol). After 45 minutes 1,2- dibromo-l,1,2,2-tetrafluoro-ethane (1.76 mL, 14.52 mmol) is added, the solution is warmed to ambient temperature and stirred for 2 hours. The solution is diluted with EtOAc (200 mL), washed with water (150 mL), brine (150 mL), dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated to furnish the title compound (1.37 g, 8.46 mmol, 64percent). 1H NMR (CDCl3) delta 3.82 (s, 3H), 7.78 (s, 1H). LC/MS (m/z): calcd. for C3H4BrN3 (M+H)+: 162.0; found: 161.9.

A solution of 2-iodo-5-methylbenzoic acid (4.0 g, 15.3 mmol) in DMF (10 mL) was treated with 1 ,2,3-triazole (2.1 g, 30.5 mmol), CsCO3 (9.95 g, 30.5 mmol), CuI (0.145 g, 0.76 mmol) and trans-N,N’-dirnethylcyclohexane-l,2-diamine (0.43 g, 3.05 mmol). The mixture was heated at 120 0C for 10 min in a microwave reactor. The reaction was cooled to rt, diluted with water, and washed with EtOAc. The aqueous phase was acidified with IN HCl and extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified by gradient elution on SiO2 (0 to 50% EtOAc in water with 0.1% TFA) to give the desired A-3. A portion of this acid (0.1 1 g, 0.53 mmol) was treated with thionyl chloride (0.59 g, 5.3 mmol) in dichloromethane (5.0 mL) at rt. After stirring at RT for 1 h, the mixture was concentrated, azeotroping with benzene to yield acid chloride A-3.
