The formed precipitate was collected, washed with water, air dried and purified by column chromatography on silica gel using first CH2Cl2 and then CH2Cl2MeOH (100:1) as eluent to give 1.55 g (72%) of methyl 6-methoxy-3 – { [4-(1H- 1 ,2,3-triazol- 1 -ylmethyl)-l naphthoyl] amino} pyridine-2- carboxylate.
