The crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography (0-5% methanol/dichloromethane) yielding 0.83g (82%) of 9: 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta 10.22 (s, IH), 8.51 (s, IH), 7.53, (d, J= 9.6 Hz, 2H), 7.58-7.49, (m, 3H).
