The solvent was removed in vacuo and the product was crystallized from ethanol to provide 14.0 g (71percent). Recrystallization from ethanol afforded 11.7 g (60percent) of pure 1-(d,l-tetrahydropyran-2 -yl)-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamide with mp 156°-158°. NMR (DMSO-d6) delta 8.82 (S, 1, H-5). Anal. Calcd for C8 H12 N4 O2: C, 48.97; H, 6.17; N, 28.56. Found: C, 48.95; H, 6.22; N, 28.42.
